The best line, "a haven for Hobbits and hikers alike." Love it. I know a lady from New Zealand who lives in Paris, a delightful lady. :)

Thanks for the interview Elizabeth . I’m visiting NZ in the spring and enjoyed hearing about the nuances of living there 😊

I loved this! As an expat from the US to Scotland then Australia and now Aotearoa New Zealand (coming up on 22 years here), I agree with a lot of this. Looking forward to going back and reading the other entries in the series. :)

I think you’ve lived in all three of my favorite countries!

I made some good choices. :) (I also had limited options for working holiday visas in the early 2000s!)

I'm really enjoying this entire series. It is so interesting to read about Americans' experiences living in other countries--and compare them to my own!

Enjoyed reading this! My husband and I moved to New Zealand as newlyweds several years ago and we loved our time there! We applied for the working holiday visa which was valid for a year, it was a straightforward, easy process. New Zealand is gorgeous for the scenery, and the people are so kind! We’ve tossed the idea of maybe going back one day 😊
