Finding Home

In the American Southwest with life coach and polymath David Posner.
4

I met David about 30 years ago in graduate school at the University of California, Davis. Since then, we’ve both gotten married, started families and lived around the country and the world.

On this Sunday’s podcast, in a wide-ranging conversation about identity and place, we trace David’s journey from Japan to his current home — a small town in the middle of the middle, near Four Corners in the American Southwest.

David is one of the most thoughtful people I know, a regular Queen Bee on the NYT’s Spelling Bee, and an accomplished musician and artist with a PhD in ecology and evolution. As a life coach, he mentors adults and younger people to help them build deeper meaning and awareness through all life stages, with a focus on queer adulting.

If you’d like to know more about his life coaching, you can find him at

Please forgive my low audio levels — I had just tested positive for Covid (ugh) and was losing my voice. But Davie sounds excellent! And he’s the reason we’re here.
